This is probably one of the toughest things to decide when you’re getting into Internet marketing. Do you go for a really huge niche as far as potential prospects, while at the same time bumping heads with more sites than you can count, or do you go for a smaller niche that might not produce as much income on a regular basis, but will be easier to crack? Well, as somebody who does both, I am going to share with you my own experiences and you can then decide on your own.

The actual niche of Internet marketing, or making money online is huge. It also has a ton of competition. Still, in the five years that I have

been in this niche, I have managed to make a very nice income. I don’t make the kind of money like a John Reese or a Mike Filsaime, but I do well enough. I’m certainly not starving. So how do I do it? How do I go up against these giants and so many others and make a six figure income?

Part of the answer is having good products at reasonable prices that people can actually use. Another part of the reason is constant advertising and promotion. Not a day goes by where I am not out there making a name for myself, whether it be with writing articles, placing ads, participating in forums, or whatever. I am always doing

something. Another part of the reason is pure persistence. I have never been one to give up on doing anything. So even during the hard times…and believe me I had them…I still did what I needed to do on a daily basis. The word quit was never in my vocabulary. As a result, I conquered a very hard to crack niche.

Now, what about the smaller niches with less competition? Well, they are much easier to crack. Some you can crack literally by putting up a site. Now don’t get me wrong, you’re probably not going to make a fortune in these tiny niches, but…what if you were to tackle several of them? I mean, why not? They’re not going

to be hard to break into and the work involved, relatively speaking, isn’t going to be so much that it’s going to take up a great deal of your time. So tackling three, four, even five of these tiny niches shouldn’t be too much trouble.

My point is this. You can make a nice living on the Internet with a large competitive niche or a few tiny non competitive niches. It basically comes down to YOUR choice.

I decided to tackle them both.

And it has worked out very nicely.
